Resident Boundary Students
If you live within the Dearborn Elementary Charter boundaries, you will need to visit the office to provide:
Enrollment priority is given to students who reside within the resident boundaries of Dearborn Elementary Charter Academy.
Non-Resident Lottery Preferences and Procedures
In conducting its admissions lottery, Dearborn Elementary Charter Academy adheres to the order of priority listed below:
Lottery Priorities (Non-Resident) by Grade Level
Students who participate in the lottery but are not selected for admission during the lottery shall be placed on a waitlist in the same priority order as above. As seats become available, Dearborn Elementary Charter Academy shall fill the seats from the waitlist.
Parents of applicants being offered admission through the lottery will be notified via phone call, email, or mail and have until April 12, 2024 to make a decision to accept enrollment. Parents of student applicants who are placed on the waitlist resulting from the lottery may call the school to find out their child’s priority number on the waitlist.
Non-resident boundary students who apply for admission after the On-Time application window will be added to the bottom of the waitlist in the order in which their applications are received. Choices Late Applications are processed on a first come, first-served basis beginning February 2024 through norm day of the following school year.

Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis (DTaP, DTP, Tdap, or Td) — 5 doses
(4 doses OK if one was given on or after 4th birthday. 3 doses OK if one was given on or after 7th birthday.)
For 7th-12th graders, at least 1 dose of pertussis-containing vaccine is required on or after 7th birthday.
Polio (OPV or IPV) — 4 doses
(3 doses OK if one was given on or after 4th birthday)
Hepatitis B — 3 doses
(not required for 7th grade entry)
Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) — 2 doses
(Both given on or after 1st birthday)
Varicella (Chickenpox) — 2 doses
These immunization requirements also apply to students entering transitional kindergarten.
California schools are required to check immunization records for all new student admissions at TK/Kindergarten through 12th grade and all students advancing to 7th grade before entry. Parents must show their child's Immunization Record as proof of immunization.
Polio (OPV o IPV)—4 dosis

Se requiere que las escuelas en California revisen los Comprobantes de Inmunización de todos los nuevos estudiantes ingresando a Kínder de Transición/Kínder hasta 12° grado y de todos los estudiantes pasando a 7° grado antes ingresar. Los padres deben presentar el Comprobante de Inmunización de su hijo(a) como prueba de que se vacunó.
